Fresh is an Urban / Hip-Hop Crime Film from 1994. A classic in the Urban communities and ghettos of America, it was written and directed by Boaz Yakin.

plot:

Set in the violent and gang-ridden projects of New York City (NY), Fresh tells the story of Michael, nicknamed Fresh aka Sean Nelson, a 12-year old kid running drugs for the local drug lords, notably Esteban (Giancarlo Esposito). Inspired by the chess lessons of his father, an alcoholic speed-chess master, Fresh devises and executes a brilliant plan to extricate himself and his drug addicted sister (Nbushe Wright) from their hopeless lives (during the film, where Fresh was threatened to be sent to a group home after his best friend is murdered, is where he began to execute his plan).

Rapper Nas, from IllMatic to Stillmatic, one the best to ever touch a microphone in all genres of music. interestingly, he’s also one of the few great rappers to not venture beyond the music as he expressed in his song “One Mic”.

This is a television special that was aired on tv channel VH1 and covers the life story of Nas. From Queensbridge to being married with Kelis down in Atlanta, there’s a lot to learn about him here.

One question for all the readers though! Who won the battle of Nas vs Jay-Z to you? These are the ONLY two artists to survive such incredible battle raps. Definitely two great artists. But wow, Nas’ Ether rap song… GROSS! Last, “I Know I Can” is greater than any other extremely successful rapper’s career since 2Pac Shakur to me.

Derrick Rose is an amazing player. The Chicago Bulls scout that chose him #1 in the draft did quite the job and deciding to pick him. OJ Mayo and Michael Beasley made that draft a very tough decision but it seems Derrick Rose was indeed the best!

For this video, it’s amazing how D-Rose skies above the rim to block Scalabrini of the Boston Celtics. The NBA Playoffs between Boston and Chicago was quite exciting thanks to plays like this!
